SEWING AMERICA WITH OMANI THREAD
I brought thread with me and started in on Africa and over to the Arabian Penninsula, and up around Asia and Europe. So Oman was sewn with American thread. But then I ran out of thread, so my friends in Oman took me to their sewing supply shop to get more. Actually, since she’s been a regular customer for 10 years, they wouldn’t let me pay for the thread. So then I proceeded to sew America with Omani thread. I thought that was pretty neat.
Visit the process GALLERY for this painting, to see some pictures of the shop. Every kind of colorful trim and thread and fabric you might want! So colorful! I picked brown...seemed a shame, with so many wonderful colors.
